Statera Psychiatry is a TMS practice. We work with all major commercial insurance plans. If your situation meets FDA-cleared requirements, we can apply for prior authorization of insurance coverage of the treatment. We will make every effort to obtain this authorization quickly and with clear and complete documentation. Coverage varies by plan.

What we can do:

  • Discover your plans particular requirements for prior authorization of coverage

  • Pursue prior authorization requests with full documentation provided to the health insurance plan

  • Provide the information insurers typically request (service descriptions, diagnosis codes, procedure codes)

Prior authorization for TMS

Some insurers require prior authorization before they will consider reimbursement for TMS. When appropriate, we can assist with prior authorization requests and supporting documentation.

What we may request (as available):

  • Prior treatment history (e.g., medication trials, therapy history)

  • Relevant clinical records (with your authorization)

  • Contact information for your treating clinician(s), if collaboration is helpful
